It's Time to Be Honest With Yourself

It’s so weird how we so often lie to ourselves. Things and situations, we could’ve long moved on from we keep ourselves grounded in. It has to be a moment that our spirit starts to take over and tell us that “nope, that’s not true. That’s a whole lie.” Now, here’s the thing in order for your spirit to guide you, you must be open to the truth. Bottom line you need to be honest with yourself and do what’s best for you and your growth.

When we lie to ourselves, we then have the audacity get upset when we’re stuck on this vicious cycle of the same results but the kicker is we could’ve long moved on from the old season if we would’ve just been honest with ourselves.

When the new year rolled up on you, you said 2023 is your year and how you’re about to do some amazing things, you’re about to Boss Up, you’re about to do the dang thing but here you are doing more of the same. Let me back up a little bit because I want to be gentle with you because that’s how you should be with yourself, however I will tell you to stop playing around and get honest with you.

I wouldn’t feel right by letting you remain on cruise control. Nope, this is not the blog for stagnation. This is the blog for Leveling up and putting your Confidence On Stilettos!

You can’t get close to the results of your goals because you are still messing around with the old OLD thinking you can’t get the new NEW! Girl, it’s so much goodness you haven’t even tapped into yet. Listen, I’m talking to me too because I’m always challenging myself to grow and I too get stuck in telling myself false truths.

One of the main areas we stay stagnant in is our relationships. We want better but we hold on to things that have longed served its purpose and because we can’t let go we can’t move because we’re holding on to dead roots. Bae-Bae not everyone can go on this ride with you. That’s the God’s honest truth. Many times, you won’t even feel inspired to conquer your goals until you get rid of dead energy and weight. Your time and energy matters and where your focus goes your energy flows so make it count.

Here’s a few ways to be honest and move on as it relates to relationships.

1. Ask yourself do your goals and dreams align? You have to be evenly yoked. They do not need to have the same goals as you but there does needs to be common interest and the other person need to have goals they’re working on too. God knows you don’t need someone to hold you back with constant texts and calls because they’re not busy working on a dang thing.

2. You have eyes, look at what he or she is doing. Are they working towards their goals or blowing smoke? Sometimes people love to say they are busy building an empire when in reality they’re really sitting on the couch watching tv all day. Ijs…clout is real out here. Don't be naive, be honest.

3. Is the relationship draining your energy? One way to tell that you need to just be honest with yourself is if you feel unmotivated to do anything while being connected to that person. It’s like all of the life and energy is being sucked right out of you. It's so much beauty in this world and when we're not connected to the right people our vision gets cloudy. No, you don't need to call 1-800-Glasses, you simply need to be honest with yourself.

4. Do you feel checked out? Simply put, do you not having any feelings that you can connect with. We’ve all had that blah feeling from time to time, however it does pass with time and your feelings seem to come back full force. If you have that blah feeling ongoing I truly need you to access what’s going on in your life. Disconnect from anyone and anything that may be aiding to this blah feeling. It’s so much life to live and it’s time that you do just that…Live and stop just existing.
