Let’s get one thing straight: everyone has their own version of success, whether it's being the next Beyoncé, the CFO of a Fortune 500 company, or simply surviving Monday without losing your mind. But let’s be real—the road to success is paved with choices. And honey, those choices? Phewww Chyle...They’re all yours. Life doesn’t come with a cheat sheet, but the good news is you’re holding the pen, so write something fabulous.
For me, success isn’t some abstract, fluffy goal. It’s tangible and intentional. I’m not just out here winging it, hoping the universe throws me a bone. Nope, I’m setting the tone every single day, starting with my intentions. And spoiler alert: this whole success thing? It begins the night before.

Let me break it down for you. Before I even think about crashing into bed, I set my intentions for the next day. No, I don’t just "think" about them in some dreamy, “manifest it and it’ll happen” kind of way. I write them down. Yep, pen to paper, old-school style. Why? Because writing it out does something magical to my brain. It’s like flipping a switch in my subconscious, and suddenly, everything starts aligning with those intentions. Even on days when I’m dragging like my Wi-Fi during a storm, my body’s like, “Girl, we’ve got things to do. Let’s GO!!”
Another thing? Boundaries. Oh, yes, I said it. Boundaries. I set them, and I keep them. And no, not just for other people. I’ve got boundaries for myself too because let’s be honest, sometimes we’re our own worst enemy. Being disciplined isn’t a punishment; it’s a love letter to the future you. So, when that little voice in my head tries to convince me to skip a step or take a break, I hit it with a firm, “Not today, Satan!”
Let’s talk about gratitude for a second. Every morning, I wake up, I affirm my life, and count my blessings. Listen, there are enough ungrateful people in this world (trust me there is), and I refuse to be one of them. I’m out here thanking God for His goodness, His provision, and the fact that I didn’t run out of patience. Gratitude keeps me grounded and ensures I’m not letting negativity get a VIP seat at my table.
So, there you have it—my not-so-secret formula for setting the tone of my day and staying on track for success. It’s all about being intentional, disciplined, and unapologetically grateful. Now, go set some boundaries and write down your intentions, because sis, the world is waiting for you to show up and slay!
