4 Tips to Show Up Confident in LIFE!


Confidence is that secret sauce that we all could use a little more of. I know at times you think your confidence is low but truthfully you have it even if it's on simmer. You just need to take a step back and re-evaluate yourself to release that amazing power. Life can and will beat you down but you have the power to be your own super hero and take that power back through reconnecting with your confidence.


First and foremost, it’s super important that you understand what confidence is. It can often times be mistaken as arrogance. Confidence is not boastful but it is BOLD and often times appear to be fearless even when you’re full of fear. Simply put, confidence is truly believing in one-self via self assurance. With that being said we all have the ability to believe in ourselves even when your circumstance tell you otherwise. If you’re in a season where you lack self confidence please take a pause and ask yourself “how do I value myself?”


It all starts with you. No one can give you something that you already possess. People can inspire and motivate you but they cannot give you confidence. You will have to get in that garden and water that seed. Seriously, you don’t even want anyone to have that type of power over you to control your confidence because people come and go and if that person does go away that holds your confidence then where does that leave you?




Thank GOD that confidence is a self tool that you can develop even when you feel like it’s not there. Trust me, IT’S THERE! It’s truly something that you must strengthen over time by believing in yourself and valuing who you truly are and not the version of you that others told you was acceptable. The narrative that others forced on you that you maybe accepted as true comes with limitations and you can’t move when you’re limited. At some point you will hit a brick wall and feel like you can't go any further.


Here’s how you can start to grow your confidence


1. Get rid of all the naysayers. These are people that make you consistently doubt yourself with their negative Nancy attitudes. You need a tribe that also believes in you to help you grow that confidence muscle.


2. Write down hobbies that you are good at and create some goals to help boost your confidence using gifts and talents that you’re naturally good at.


3. Hype your DAMN SELF UP! Become your own hype chick. Write out some affirmation that get you going. (ex: “girl you’re the best…”, “I’m happy and grateful now that…”).


4. Give yourself some grace. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your confidence. You will see subtle changes over time. The first thing that I noticed when rebuilding my confidence was I felt spiritually free and had a positive outlook on everything.


If you set the intention to regain control over your confidence it's only a matter of time that you will see these changes in yourself and your life.
